“The BayRun is one of my favourite races and the community spirit makes it fabulous for families.”

Thomas Do Canto

(5 time BayRun champion and record holder)

Thank you for helping make the 17th annual BayRun another huge success.

BayRun 2019 once again attracted more than 1200 runners, walkers, kids and dogs.

Congratulations to our 2019 placegetters. In the 7km Men's Open division, current record holder Thomas Do Canto was in first place with a time of 20.22. Dylan Offord was second with a time of 21.18, closely followed by Patrick Cantlon in third place with a time of 21.19.
The 7km Women's Open Division saw Nina Rillstone placed first with a time of 25.11, Emma Olson-Keating was second with a time of 25.19 and in third place was Belinda Boot with a time of 25.32. Well done to you all!

Congratulations to everyone who completed the 2km Primary OSHCare challenge. Special mention to our first, second and third place-getters. In the boys' category Will Cheshire, was placed first. Charlie Woods, second and Omri Thaler, third. In the girls' category Claudia Meaker was in first place, second place was Maria Skiadopoulos, and third place, Harriet Christie. Congratulations to you all.

And not forgetting our 4 legged friends, the BayRun’s “Fastest Dog in the Inner West” category was won by Copper, a two-year-old rescue Dalmatian, who led owner Michael McGuinness across the finish line in a respectable 24:10, 37 seconds, ahead of BayRun champion and favourite to win, Biscuit, whose record set in 2016 with owner Dani Andres still stands (23:28). Third place was won by Scout and owner Chris Pooley (24:52).

Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to every single entrant for helping make it such a fabulous day!
