Get your runners ready for the 17th annual BayRun, which returns on Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Sydney’s most popular community run around the stunning Iron Cove brings families, school kids and elite runners together in a spirit of community fun and fitness.

Some want to run fast, others are pleased just to finish. You can walk, push a pram, run with your dog or fly along in costume. Whatever your speed, the BayRun is a guaranteed adrenalin rush.

Early bird registrations for the 7km event are now open. Avoid disappointment and register today.

One of the BayRun legends returning in 2019 is long distance runner Thomas Do Canto (pictured above).

Do Canto has competed in seven BayRuns and won five of them. This year he hopes to beat the race record he set in 2016 (20 minutes and 19 seconds) and will use it as the ideal training run for the City to Surf the following weekend.

“The BayRun is one of my favourite races and the community spirit makes it fabulous for families. I’ll be there with my wife and son and hopefully they’ll see me bring home another personal best. I’m hoping for sub 20 minutes,” said Do Canto.
